Alec Pierce isn't going anywhere other than a new tax bracket.
The standout wide receiver is re-signing with the Indianapolis Colts on a four-year, $114 million deal, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Monday.
Pierce's deal came together overnight and contains $84 million in guarantees with $60 million fully guaranteed at signing, per Rapoport and Pelissero. The deal in total can grow to a maximum of $116 million.
Playing on the final year of his rookie contract in 2025 for $3.65 million, Pierce hauled in the best season of his career. The 2022 second-rounder tallied a career-best 47 receptions for 1,003 yards -- his first 1,000-yard campaign -- along with six touchdown receptions.
Perhaps the elite field-stretcher in the NFL, Pierce has led the league in yards per catch in each of the last two seasons (22.3 in 2024; 21.3 in 2025).
Pierce, No. 5 on Gregg Rosenthal's free agents list, was a franchise tag candidate, but the Colts placed the transition tag on quarterback Daniel Jones last week. Impressively, they were able to keep both. Though the QB is recovering from a torn Achilles, Pierce's new contract and Jones' breathe life into a bountiful union for the Colts QB-WR tandem for Sundays to come.
Pelissero added on Monday that the Colts continue to work with Jones on a multiyear deal.
In a pivotal year ahead for Colts general manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen, they're keeping a band together that was playing the hits through a 7-1 start last season. Pierce, 25, could well have his best campaigns in front of him, especially with Jones under center as the two meshed immediately.
With Indy absent a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Colts have started making big moves, even if it's by keeping their top-tier talent in-house.
