2015 Walter Camp Award watch list

Five players from defending national champion Ohio State have been selected to the Walter Camp Award watch list, making up 10 percent of a 50-man field for the award honoring the nation's most outstanding player. The watch list was released on Friday.

Quarterbacks J.T. Barrett, Braxton Miller and Cardale Jones, all on the Maxwell Award watch list as well, joined defensive end Joey Bosa and running back Ezekiel Elliott. Other top contenders for the award include TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin, Arizona linebacker Scooby Wright III, Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook and Georgia running back Nick Chubb.

The list will be narrowed to 10 semifinalists on Nov. 10, with the winner announced Dec. 10.

Recent winners include NFL first-round draft picks Marcus Mariota, Jameis Winston, Andrew Luck and Cam Newton.
