PLAYER ANALYSIS
Three-phase running back capable of stressing defenses with big-play speed and untapped pass-catching value. Love shared carries but was the heartbeat of Notre Dame’s offense over the last two years. He runs with a fierce tempo and processes the front with adequate eyes to find entry points and burst through them. Urgency works in his favor, but he’ll occasionally miss open lanes when he gets too deep too quickly. Outstanding speed erases pursuit angles to the corner and helps him pull away from tacklers once he opens his gait. He’s live-legged with violent cuts in segmented bursts that can elude tacklers but slow his momentum. He’s not a pile-mover but he runs through contact and squeezes out extra yards as a committed finisher. He’s a talented route runner and pass catcher who can work from the slot and mismatch linebackers. Love is a three-down, scheme-independent player who would benefit from a complementary back to preserve his big-play ability.

Tempo-driven back with smooth hips, elite vision and a nose for the end zone. Price is a more natural runner than his heralded teammate, Jeremiyah Love, but Price lacks Love’s pure explosiveness and pass-catching talent. Price is highly instinctive, stacking moves to contour to run-lane spacing and avoid tacklers for as long as possible. He moves like a zone back but has average downhill burst for a one-cut runner. Price is an average run finisher, but he has the leg strength and contact balance to carry on when hits aren’t flush. His feel for finding the right path is rare and helps bolster his touchdown totals. Limited third-down value could cap his draft slotting, but his talent as a runner should make him an excellent complementary back.

Washington made stops at three different colleges and showed improvement with each move to a new school. He’s fast with loose hips and adequate agility. He’s not very sudden in tight quarters and is a step slow to see it and go when the hole opens. He can glide and swerve around interior traffic once he’s on the move, though. He has breakaway speed in the open field and is capable as an inside/outside runner. Running to his size with a greater degree of aggressiveness will be the key as he makes the jump. Washington has the traits and talent to become a solid rotational back.

Randall, a former wide receiver, is new to his position, but his blend of size, top-end speed and pass-catching ability make him an intriguing prospect. He's an upright long-strider with surprising one-cut quickness and home-run potential. He doesn’t run with pro-level rhythm, recognition or timing, but improvement awaits. He’s willful once he’s downhill, using balance and force to maximize yardage after collisions. His receiving skills create mismatches against man coverage and allow for alignment versatility. Randall is still raw, but RBs with his size, speed and route skill are rare. He offers value as a developmental option with RB2 upside in a zone-heavy scheme.

Claiborne is a twitched-up, elusive slasher who can turn minimal gains into explosive runs. He's creative in tight quarters, using lateral agility and sudden feet to escape trouble. While willing to run between the tackles, his lack of size and strength limits his effectiveness in that area. His unpredictable nature -- sometimes pulling runs off-track when profit is available -- might frustrate coaches, but it also generates unexpected chunk plays. He projects as a middle-round, change-of-pace option and complementary back who can inject much-needed juice into a dull, predictable running game.

Early-down runner with adequate size, good finishing strength and consecutive seasons of injury concerns. There won’t be anything flashy on tape, but Moss consistently adds yards after collison. He has adequate burst to race to the second level and keeps runs alive with solid contact balance, but he lacks the elusiveness and top-end speed associated with more dangerous backs. He can fit any run scheme and will step up to challenge blitzers in pass pro, but limited receiving talent caps his third-down value. Moss profiles as a blue-collar backup capable of shouldering a larger workload when needed.

Johnson is a hard-charging, gap-scheme runner. He brings a steady dose of urgency, decisiveness and fairly predictable run tracks. Johnson’s production and game-by-game consistency stand out despite average size and top-end speed. He steps on the accelerator once he touches the ball, but the run becomes segmented when he attempts to cut laterally. He struggles to create for himself when the point of entry is cloudy. Johnson can beat linebackers to the run fit but won’t usually run through them with power. He’s able to help as a pass-catcher and projects as a solid backup best suited for downhill concepts.

Well-built back with explosive speed whose 2025 season was flat after a strong 2024. Singleton is a linear runner who plays like his brake lines have been cut, affecting his ability to gather and elude tacklers or cut on demand. He has the speed to make defenses pay but displayed a lack of vision and instincts to put himself in position to do so, relative to his teammate Kaytron Allen. His size and speed will get attention, but his ability to return kicks and play on third downs could ultimately earn him a roster spot as a RB3.

Faison is an older prospect, but he possesses the talent and toughness to succeed. He’s an instinctive runner with the size, vision and wiggle to create yards from broken tackles. He rarely rushes the action, setting up blocks and cutting off the carnage. He’s patient but unpredictable, making it hard for linebackers to square him up. His 2025 production might look average, but his tape shows NFL ability on all three downs.

Despite lacking ideal size, Taylor is a three-down back with proven production. He runs with compact power and elite balance. He’s excellent on short-yardage carries, scoring tough touchdowns and gaining more than is blocked. He “fields his position” with solid vision and open-field burst, but when defenses slow his feet, they slow his processing. His lateral elusiveness is average in the hole and after catches underneath. His willingness and talent on third downs should create an opportunity as a complementary "thunder" back capable of handling a three-down backup role.

Hard-charging runner with average vision/burst but good decisiveness and the ability to finish through contact. Hemby is wired for hard running inside, but he has the one-cut quickness to succeed on zone carries. He has stop-start quickness to reset the run against penetration but rarely looks to elude tacklers once he hits it downfield. Punishing collisions are inevitable for defensive backs looking to tackle him in the open field. He’s willing in protection but must clean up mental errors. Hemby is a viable pass-catcher, which should add to his value as a likely Day 3 pick and potential three-down backup who can handle short-yardage carries right away.

Allen is productive with good size and vision but below-average explosiveness. He’s a fluid runner with ideal patience and a natural feel for when to cut off his blocks. He runs low to the ground with the strength to run through arm tackles and fall forward after contact. A feel for lane development allows him to fit any run scheme, but his lack of burst is likely to constrict the field and limit his ability to find explosive runs. Allen appears to lack third-down and special-teams value, but he could earn a spot as a solid backup.

Team captain and productive three-down back. Coleman has a clear understanding of run-blocking schemes and protection duties. He knows where blocks are likely to develop and finds those spots. However, he lacks speed as an outside runner and has average burst between the tackles. He’s more of a tackle-slipper than a tackle-breaker, so it’s imperative that Coleman plays at a brisker pace to stay ahead of closing defenders. He projects as a Day 3 option who can compete for a job as a three-down backup.

Reid is a small, versatile back who made a significant impact on games despite missing time due to injury in both of his seasons at Pitt. He’s listed as a running back but finding manufactured touches no matter the alignment will be the goal. Slot snaps are likely, but his value often rests in his ability to become a “second slot” when running routes out of the backfield. The decision-making and ball-handling aren’t always great as a punt returner. He’s dangerous when the ball is in his hands, though. Durability concerns will be prevalent at all times but the explosives he can generate as a backfield mismatch and return man will earn him consideration.

Versatile and productive, Heidenreich possesses good size and toughness. Most of his run production came on jet sweeps from Navy’s option attack, but he appears to lack the acceleration to outpace NFL pursuit as a wide runner. He was a strong tester, displaying the ability to take on a bigger chunk of route-running than he saw in college. He’s short-limbed with a limited catch radius, but he hangs on tight when it hits his hands. Teams will like the mentality and his special-teams potential, but he might lack the necessary athleticism to uncover on routes or elude tacklers with the ball in his hands.

Trayanum is built like a linebacker and, in fact, was a linebacker early in his career. He played at four schools over six seasons and was elected team captain in his lone season at Toledo. He’s a pile-mover and body-blow puncher capable of wearing down defenses with his downhill physicality. He runs with patience behind lead blocks, but he’s a one-speed runner who lacks elusiveness. Trayanum is not a dynamic runner, but his ability to compete on third downs and coverage teams could help his chances of earning a roster spot.

Donaldson is a big-time run finisher with good touchdown production. He’s a tunnel-vision runner with good power but doesn’t work beyond the assigned gap very often, regardless of what is in front of him. He looked a little more dynamic against Big 12 competition during his three seasons at West Virginia, but he profiled as more of a downhill hammer at Ohio State in 2025. He’s ordinary on third down in protection and out of the backfield. Donaldson profiles as a potential RB3 with short-yardage value who could handle a heavier workload if asked.

Henderson is a skilled and instinctive runner with good size, but he might lack the explosiveness to reach his full potential. His excellent vision, footwork and play strength make him effective inside. He has a rare feel for space in the open field, helping him evade tacklers. He could struggle on wide runs, though, as his lack of burst is likely to condense the field for him. He's a poor pass-catcher but a tough pass protector who can contribute on kick coverage. Henderson will require the right scheme fit to become a contributor in the pros.

Miller has pro-caliber size but while some runners get what is blocked, Miller didn’t always take what was there for him. He’s a segmented runner with adequate power but lacks the vision, burst and decisiveness to rip through creases inside. He’s a hard runner and can get tough yards after contact here and there. Ott offers solid vision and a feel for setting up his blockers for success. His athletic profile, however, is lacking and his production declined sharply in his final two college seasons. He’s tight-hipped with slow change of direction and lacks the foot quickness/acceleration needed to elude closing tacklers in the NFL. He’s an adequate pass-catcher, but he’s not trustworthy in pass protection. Ott’s feel for lane choices along the interior doesn’t make up for his lack of quickness and burst.

“Get what is blocked” runner with good size and above-average aggression as a finisher. Black split carries in Indiana’s downhill attack and generally kept the run on its designed track. He lacks ideal burst and utilizes too many stutter-steps in processing the run lane while headed to the hole. He’s not elusive inside but will add yards with his tackle-breaking and fall-forward running style. Black is a grinder with below-average third-down value, but he could create competition for a RB3/4 role in camp.

Sixth-year senior with three seasons of steady play and production for the Ducks. Whittington is a downhill runner who plays behind his pads and takes care of the football along the interior. He lacks speed to widen the field and fluidity to create for himself when there is no clear point of entry. He’s tough and relatively decisive, with a knack for falling forward and adding yards through physicality. Fifth-year senior whose splashy early season performance against Texas A&M put him on the map. Henry is a slasher with a wiggly lower half, allowing him to make sudden cuts and elude tacklers in tight quarters. He’s quicker than fast and struggles to consistently read/react to the development of run lanes. While his burst can create occasional chunk gains, he too often does not keep runs on their designed tracks. He’s yet to show he can be a major factor on third downs and fumbled six times in the last three seasons, which could be impediments in his pursuit of a roster spot.

Kpeenu leans on physicality and yards after contact over elusiveness, burst or speed. His 28 bench-press reps at his pro day speak to the natural power he carries. It shows in the way he’s able to deny tacklers through force and keep his legs moving, especially near the goal line. He’s a linear runner lacking ideal bend, acceleration and top-end speed, so most of his yardage as a pro would be gained between the tackles. Kpeenu will likely need to prove himself on special teams to compete for a roster spot in camp.

Good tester with average size and steady production over the last three seasons. Connors typically gains what is blocked for him, but he can be indecisive without a clear entry point and lacks above-average elusiveness in space. Connors has decent burst once he hits the gas and builds to top speed quickly to eliminate tackle angles toward the perimeter. His receiving totals are primarily a function of leak-out catches and swing passes. Connors is steady and reliable but will need to carve out a clearly defined role to stick on an NFL roster.

Tough, productive runner whose lack of explosiveness might limit his ability to make it in the league. Bullock has decent size and runs hard. He has a natural feel for the run lane and is able to cut/change tracks without missing a beat. Stocky and strong with a lot of experience but a concerning decline in production in the last two seasons. Haynes might be on the short side but he’s plenty durable to handle interior carries. His pro day testing showed off a big burst gear but his indecisiveness when reading the front tends to dull that burst. He has quick feet and good stop-start quickness but failed to elude tacklers over the first two levels often enough in 2025. Scott looks the part with good size and a muscular frame. The speed and explosive leaping ability he displayed at his pro day is sure to catch the eyes of evaluators. Unfortunately, he never hit 100 carries or 450 yards rushing in a single season at Wyoming and doesn’t run with nearly enough power for the size/explosiveness he has at his disposal. Scott is best as a linear runner when he’s allowed to build speed and make more subtle change-of-direction cuts. He will have to compete for a spot in camp, but he has the traits and athleticism to warrant consideration on special teams.
