Vikings WR Rice improving, but no timetable for return

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice is taking part in jogging and light conditioning, but he still doesn't have a timetable to return as he recovers from August hip surgery, the *St. Paul Pioneer Press* reported Thursday.

According to the Pioneer Press, Rice played catch at half-speed with receivers coach George Stewart on Wednesday.

Rice is on a roster exempt list for another two weeks. The Vikings have up to three additional weeks to practice him for an eventual return.

"I'm going to continue to ask me what they want me to do and I'm just working to get better," said Rice, according to the newspaper.
