Tyrann Mathieu projects top three draft picks of 2017

Honey Badger doesn't need to know the teams.

Arizona Cardinals DB Tyrann Mathieu took to Twitter Saturday to make his predictions on the top three picks of the 2017 NFL Draft, before even the first inkling of which NFL clubs might have those choices has revealed itself.

Mathieu's selections are all underclassmen who will face a decision at the end of the season on whether to apply for early draft eligibility. Underclassmen have until a mid-January deadline to apply for the draft.

Garrett has acknowledged being the No. 1 pick as a goal of his, along with notching 20 sacks in his junior season this fall. If Mathieu's predictions come true, Fournette would be the first running back chosen as a top-three pick since -- gulp -- the Cleveland Browns took draft bust Trent Richardson No. 3 overall in 2012.

Garrett, Texas A&M's star pass rusher, harassed UCLA QB Josh Rosen impressively Saturday in his season debut. Fournette rushed for more than 100 yards against Wisconsin. Watson's season debut against Auburn kicks off later on Saturday. Garrett, Watson and Fournette were the first three players featured in NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah's 'First Look' series, which took an in-depth look at each from a scouting perspective.
