Davis compiled seven tackles, including one for loss, while not showing any aftereffects of having a plate and 11 screws inserted in his right forearm. He played with a bulky cast.
As usual, the quick Davis paired with Luke Kuechly as the fastest sideline-to-sideline tackling linebacker combo in the NFL. The two were everywhere early Sunday, combining for 17 tackles.
After the painful loss, Davis posted a photo on Instagram of his sewn up arm.
"This post is not about me, or how tough I am," he wrote. "It's not to shine any light on me or my injuries. Our team doctors and trainers did an amazing job giving me an opportunity to get back on the field. This post is strictly to show how much love I have for my brothers and #PantherNation. Thank you all for your support and we will #KeepPounding.-TD"
Davis' picture is just another reminder that NFL players are not normal humans.
