Texans FS Eugene Wilson intercepted a pass from 49ers QB Alex Smith on fourth-and-10 with 36 seconds remaining in the game, ending San Francisco's hope of a comeback.

Game ball

Texans TE Owen Daniels finished with seven catches for 123 yards (both game highs) and a touchdown in the second quarter that put Houston up 21-0. Daniels was QB Matt Schaub's safety valve, as Schaub looked his way often on third down. Daniels' 123 yards was a season high.

Key Stat

With QB Shaun Hill at the helm, the 49ers offense was stagnant in the first half, compiling just 50 total yards. Smith took over in the second half and led the offense to 247 total yards. Smith went 15 of 22 for 206 yards and three touchdowns, compared to Hill's 45 yards on 6-of-11 passing.

The Texans (4-3) moved above .500 for the first time since 2007, when they were 3-2. ...
