A group of nearly a dozen Browns players knelt in a huddle together or placed their arm on a player kneeling during the national anthem Monday night.
The display of solidarity is the latest in a new wave of national anthem protests which are taking place following the tragic events in Charlottesville, Va.
Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett, who already stated his intention to sit for the national anthem each week this season, was joined by center Justin Britt on Saturday. Britt placed his hand on Bennett's shoulder in a display of support.
The team also issued a statement following what they called a "personal expression."
