Brett Favre capped off Minnesota's first series of the second half -- a 90-yard drive -- with a 7-yard touchdown pass to tight end Visanthe Shiancoe. Ryan Longwell's extra point gave the Vikings a 24-3 lead.

Game ball

Vikings DE Jared Allen recovered two fumbles. Allen scooped up an unforced Kyle Boller fumble and took it 52 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. He also recovered a botched handoff between Boller and RB Steven Jackson inside the Vikings' 5-yard line.

Key Stat

The Rams buried themselves with three turnovers -- all fumbles -- in the first half, then added one more on a red zone interception from Boller in the second half.
