Quick Take: Vikings (3-5) at Packers (7-1)

Last meeting
In Week 4, Brett Favre threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns, including the 421st TD toss of his career, an NFL record, to lead the Packers over the Vikings 23-16.

Streaks
The Packers have won three in a row and hold a narrow 42-44-1 overall series lead.

Last week
The Vikings used a huge second half surge to beat the San Diego Chargers 35-17. Rookie sensation Adrian Peterson broke the single-game rushing record, picking up 296 yards and three touchdowns. ... Green Bay ran its record to 7-1 by posting a come-from-behind, 33-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Favre completed 24 of 34 passes for 360 yards and two touchdowns, including a go-ahead, 60-yard strike to Greg Jennings in the fourth quarter.

At stake
Minnesota looks to catch the Lions and Green Bay in the NFC North, while the Packers, who have won 11 of their past 12 games, look to increase their lead on the Lions.

Key matchup
Packers QB Brett Favre vs. Vikings secondary. Minnesota, which has the league's 31st-ranked pass defense, could be without the services of CB Antoine Winfield, who was held out of the Chargers game with a hamstring injury. Winfield is the Vikings strongest defensive back and one of the best in the NFL. That's not good news for Minnesota, which now has to face Favre and the pass-happy Packers. Green Bay has enjoyed watching the maturation process of wideout Greg Jennings, who is averaging nearly 20 yards per catch this season and has six touchdowns, two of at least 60 yards in the last two weeks.

Did you know?
RB Adrian Peterson is the first rookie in NFL history with two games of 200-plus yards. He leads the league with 1,036 yards and is on pace for 2,072 yards, which would pass Eric Dickerson's rookie record (1,808). ... WR Donald Driver has a reception in 88 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in team history (Sterling Sharpe, 103).
