Quick Take: Surging Colts face reeling Jets

NFL.com and NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport has his thoughts on the game:

Why this game is intriguing: The raw emotion of last week's win for coach Chuck Pagano sent the Indianapolis Colts to heights most teams only reach in the postseason. Even while preaching an even-keeled approach, they found delirium when that final missed field goal by the Packers sealed a win. Yet, as outside linebacker Dwight Freeney said, "That can't help us for this week." Can the Colts effectively put a big win behind them with the Jets looming?

What to watch: Of course, we're all watching Tim Tebow. Still. Until the Jets either stop struggling or insert him into the lineup for an extended period of time, this is their big story. Curiosity keeps us entertained. As for the Jets as a whole -- this injury-riddled Gang Green squad missing many key weapons -- they face an unexpected challenge this week, as the Colts are more impressive than we anticipated in the preseason. Monday night had the feel of a last stand for Rex Ryan's team. Can the Jets keep their interest high or did the tight loss to the Texans take too much out of them?
