Quick Take: Seahawks/Texans

In Brief

» Last meeting: Shaun Alexander rushed for 141 yards and four touchdowns as the Seahawks pounded the Texans, 42-10, in Week 6 of the 2005 season.
» Streaks: The above game is the only time these teams have met.
» Last week: The Seahawks earned a hard-fought 20-17 win over the 49ers. ... The Texans suffered a costly 23-18 loss to the Jaguars.

Keep your eye on ...Houston's mindset: The Texans have squandered their promising 5-3 start with four consecutive losses. Now that they are teetering on the brink of elimination from the playoffs, will they finally be able to wake up and find their early-season form?

The Texans' tight ends: Ever since Owen Daniels was lost for the season with a knee injury, Houston has failed to win a single game. His replacement, Joel Dreessen, has made almost no impact in the passing game, and that lack of a dependable outlet has hindered QB Matt Schaub's effectiveness.

Nate Burleson's breakaway speed: Houston's secondary has been susceptible to big plays this season, and Burleson is Seattle's top deep threat. If he gets loose for a few long gains, it will be tough for the Texans to overcome.
