Packers S Atari Bigby intercepted a Tarvaris Jackson pass with 1:08 left in the game. Jackson was attempting to drive the Vikings down the field for a game-winning touchdown when Bigby made the pick.

With the pressure of replacing Brett Favre as Green Bay's starting QB, Rodgers put up a great performance to quiet the critics for at least one week. Rodgers was accurate -- 18-of-22 -- and smart -- taking off to run when there was nothing available in the passing game. It was as good a debut as could have been expected.

Key stat
Penalty problems plagued both teams. In the first half, the Packers and Vikings combined for 12 penalties for 86 yards. The Packers finished the game with 12 penalties for 118 yards, while the Vikings committed nine penalties for 42 yards.

Noteworthy
The Vikings have now lost 38 straight games when trailing after three quarters ... With six carries for 36 yards, Rodgers nearly matched his career rushing total (47 yards on 11 carries) ... Rodgers' 81.8 percent completion percentage was the second-highest for a QB making his first start (Rob Johnson, 83.3 percent in 1997 with Jacksonville) ... Vikings RB Adrian Peterson recorded his first 100-yard rushing game since Week 13 last year.
