Quick Take: Rams deny Falcons' rally

It was over when ...
Rams defensive back O.J. Atogwe intercepted Falcons quarterback Chris Redman with less than two minutes remaining and St. Louis leading 21-16. The turnover snuffed out a potential go-ahead touchdown for Atlanta and set up the Rams' clinching score.

Game balls
St. Louis Wide receiver Torry Holt showed why he is still one of the best at his position against the Falcons. Holt caught six passes for 135 yards and a touchdown and repeatedly bailed the Rams out of tough spots with his precise route-running and sure hands. In a losing effort, Redman deserves honorable mention for the Falcons. He came in for an inefficient Joey Harrington and nearly rallied Atlanta to a comeback win.

Key stat
In the red zone, both teams were very efficient, but the Rams were slightly better, and that proved the difference in the game. St. Louis converted both of its opportunities, while Atlanta was just 2 of 3, the failure coming on that fateful interception.
