Quick Take: Rams at Eagles

Last meeting

Eagles won 17-16 on Dec. 18, 2005. After throwing three interceptions, Philadelphia QB Mike McMahon tossed the game-winning touchdown to long snapper Mike Bartrum in the fourth quarter.

The Eagles have defeated the Rams in two out of the last three contests. The Rams lead the all-time series (including playoffs), 19-17-1.

Keep your eye on ...

Rams RB Steven Jackson: After a 27-day holdout, will the Rams Pro Bowl RB be fresh or rusty? Jackson missed all four of the team's preseason games, and will see live game action for the first time since Week 17 of last season.

Eagles rookie WR DeSean Jackson: The former Cal star had a great preseason, leading the Eagles in receiving in all three games he played in, finishing with 16 passes for 189 yards in addition to a 76-yard punt return for a touchdown. With Philadelphia's receiving corps hurting, Jackson could see significant playing time.

Eagles CB Asante Samuel: Samuel will be making his first regular-season start with the Eagles after spending the last five seasons with the Patriots. A Pro Bowler in 2007, he signed a six-year, $57 million deal with Philadelphia during the offseason.
