Quick Take: Packers at 49ers

Keep your eye on ...

Packers' defensive line: Injuries have begun to pile up for Green Bay already, but coach Mike McCarthy has maintained they are routine and minor. In the preseason opener, the defensive line was missing DEs Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, as well as DTs Justin Harrell, Johnny Jolly and Ryan Pickett.

RB Brandon Jackson:Packers starter Ryan Grant held out of training camp in order to get a new contract and then suffered a hamstring injury that kept him out of the preseason opener. With Grant on the sidelines, second-year player Jackson has enjoyed additional reps and finished Monday with 44 yards on six carries.

49ers' wide-open QB race: J.T. O'Sullivan worked with the first team this week, but coach Mike Nolan refused to proclaim him the team's starting quarterback. Alex Smith and Shaun Hill still figure in the mix. Although no quarterback distanced themselves against the Raiders last week, Nolan -- at least publicly -- endorses all three.

49ers rookie WR Josh Morgan. Nolan has said that Morgan has been the most impressive receiver in camp. Morgan has taken advantage of Bryant Johnson's hamstring injury and may be playing himself into a starting role with the 49ers.
