Quick Take: Leinart sharp, Warner sits

What we learned ...

Leinart steady. Incumbent Matt Leinart -- playing for the first time in 10 months -- maintained his starting position with the Cardinals, as he completed 7-of-8 passes for 91 yards, leading his team on a scoring drive. Kurt Warner did not play because of a coach's decision, in part because of some of the injuries on the offensive line.

Saints first unit sharp.Drew Brees led the Saints on a 13-play, 80-yard drive that he capped with a seven-yard touchdown pass to David Patten. Newly acquired tight end Jeremy Shockey did not play.

A possible short-yardage back? Arizona's Tim Hightower could end up seeing a lot of action in short-yardage situations this season. He scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
