Jaguars CB Clint Ingram intercepted a Vinny Testaverde pass and returned it 39 yards for a touchdown. The score gave the Jaguars a 27-6 lead in the fourth quarter. On the first play of Jacksonville's next posession, RB Fred Taylor took it up the middle for an 80-yard touchdown.

Game balls
Jaguars quarterback David Garrard continues to get it done behind center. He went 20-of-36 for 230 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, helping the Jaguars tie a season high with 37 points.

Key stat
The Jaguars recorded 24 first downs, compared to the Panthers' 10. ... Carolina's offense was held to a season-low 144 total yards.
