Quick Take: Falcons (3-8) at Rams (2-9)

Last meeting
Falcons running back Warrick Dunn rushed for a pair of touchdowns as the host Falcons defeated the Rams, 34-17, on Sept. 19, 2004.

Streaks
The Falcons snapped a seven-game losing streak to St. Louis with the win. The Rams lead the all-time series of former NFC West rivals, 46-24-2.

Last week
The host Falcons jumped out to an early 10-0 lead but eventually fell to the Colts, 31-13. ... Backup quarterback Gus Frerotte fumbled on fourth-and-goal with the host Rams on the verge of a potential game-winning touchdown with 27 seconds left in a painful 24-19 loss to Seattle.

At stake
Neither the Falcons nor the Rams have been eliminated from the playoffs, but a berth is highly unlikely. However, many fantasy league playoffs can be determined with players such as Dunn and Rams running back Steven Jackson.

Key matchup:
Falcons DE Jamaal Anderson vs. Rams right tackle Rob Petitti. The Falcons drafted Anderson with the eighth overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, and he has yet to register a sack. This could be the week. Injuries have caused the Rams to juggle the offensive line, which helped cause injuries to starting quarterback Marc Bulger and the ineffectiveness of Jackson. Seahawks defensive end Patrick Kerney had three sacks going up against Petitti last week.

Did you know?
The Falcons haven't won a game in St. Louis since 1998 (four games). ... The Rams are 8-1 when Jackson has at least 24 carries. Frerotte fumbled what would have been Jackson's 24th attempt last week against the Seahawks.
