Quick Take: Cowboys (6-1) down Vikings

It was over when ...
Chris Canty blocked Ryan Longwell's 48-yard field goal attempt and Pat Watkins picked it up and ran 67 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. After that play, the Vikings sputtered, fumbling once and punting three times.

Game balls
Dallas QB Tony Romo completed 31 of 39 passes for 277 yards and one touchdown, and RB Marion Barber finished with 96 yards and one touchdown, the first rushing TD allowed by the Vikings this season. An honorable mention goes to that Minnesota defense, which caused two fumbles, one that was run back for a touchdown by Cedric Griffin. The team would have had a third, but DT Kevin Williams' spectacular 84-yard scamper for a TD was called back when Dallas challenged the fumble and the play was overturned.

Key stat
Dallas outgained the Vikings 381-196 and Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson was just 6-of-19 for 72 yards.

Noteworthy
The Cowboys have given up just three rushing touchdowns all season and have not allowed a single 100-yard rusher. Vikings rookie Adrian Peterson, who rushed for 224 yards last week, was limited to 63 yards rushing, 20 coming on a first-quarter TD run. ... Peterson was playing near his hometown of Palestine, Texas, about 99 miles southeast of Dallas. ... The Cowboys stopped a four-game losing streak in this series.
