Quick Take: Chiefs (3-3) at Raiders (2-3)

Last meeting
Chiefs running back Larry Johnson rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown as Kansas City stayed in the Wild Card playoff hunt with 20-9 victory at Oakland last December.

Streaks
Every AFC West team has a healthy rivalry with the Raiders, but the Chiefs -- winners of eight straight in this series -- are the only team in the division to lead an all-time series with Oakland, 49-42-2.

Last week
The Chiefs' Johnson scored his first touchdown of the season as Kansas City defeated Cincinnati 27-20 at Arrowhead Stadium to move into a first-place tie with San Diego in the AFC West. LaDainian Tomlinson scored four touchdowns as the Chargers ran away from the Raiders, 28-14.

At stake
The Chiefs have an opportunity to move into sole possession of first place in the AFC West. The Raiders, losers of an NFL record 16 straight divisional games, need to find a way to beat AFC West opponents if they have any hope of competing for a title.

Key matchup
Chiefs right defensive end Jared Allen vs. Raiders left tackle Barry Sims. Allen harrassed Carson Palmer on Sunday and was seemingly in the face of the Bengals quarterback all day. Allen finished the game with 2½ sacks, but it seemed like many more. Sims will have a challenge in front of him this week. The Raiders offensive line has improved this season, but it struggled a little bit at San Diego. Look for the Raiders to be more patient running the football this week to help slow down the Chiefs' fierce pass rush.

Did you know?
Johnson has rushed for 634 yards and nine touchdowns in six games against the Raiders, his highest total against any team. ... Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski leads the league with 13 touchbacks.
