Bills kicker Rian Lindell nailed a 47-yard field goal in overtime to halt Buffalo's three-game skid. Lindell had missed a 46 yarder at the end of regulation.

Game ball

The Bills' injury-depleted defense collected six interceptions -- which ties a franchise record -- sacked rookie QB Mark Sanchez once and held the Jets scoreless in the second half. Rookie Jairus Byrd picked up the first two interceptions of his career, the last of which set up Buffalo's game-tying TD in the third quarter.

Key Stat

The Bills came into the game as the most penalized team in the league, but it was the Jets who were hurt by penalties. The Jets were flagged 14 times for 96 yards, including five times in overtime.

Noteworthy

Jets kicker Jay Feely had made 24 consecutive field goals, a franchise record, before missing a 44-yard FG to close out the first half. ... Bills QB Trent Edwards was helped off the field after a hit early in second quarter. He suffered a concussion and did not return. Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick finished the game. ... Jets nose tackle Kris Jenkins was helped off the field in the second quarter after injuring his left leg. He did not return. ... Jets defensive back James Ihedigbo was kicked out of the game in overtime for throwing a punch after the kickoff.
