Quick Take: 49ers aim to rebound vs. Jets

NFL.com and NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport has his thoughts on the game:

Why this game is intriguing: The 49ers will be fiery after their wakeup-call loss in Minnesota. It might be what they needed, and don't be surprised if they physically reassert themselves against the Jets. It might not be close. But this is still one of the most interesting games, because I want one question answered: What will Gang Green do without Darrelle Revis. The NFL's best cover corner tore his ACL last week, and the Jets will somehow have to play defense without him. But how?

What to watch: To allow quarterback Mark Sanchez to find a groove, the Jets need to run the ball. If not with Shonn Greene, then someone else. The problem is the 49ers stop the run, allowing just 3.3 yards per rush. That doesn't bode well for Sanchez and the play-action game. More interesting, though, is what the heck Rex Ryan will do. One of the NFL's foremost gurus just lost one of the best players in the game. He doesn't have another Revis to slot in there. (A reality for 31 other teams on a weekly basis.) How will Ryan scheme his way out of this one?
