Panthers' Kelvin Benjamin suffered concussion

The Carolina Panthers had a surprising addition to their injury report on Wednesday. Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin is recovering from a concussion.

Coach Ron Rivera said that Benjamin showed up for work on Monday with a headache, and he has been going through the concussion protocol. He wasn't at practice Wednesday. It's unclear if he'll be available for this week's gamein Green Bay.

The injury appeared to happen on Carolina's final play from scrimmage in overtime. Vontaze Burfict delivered a big hit on Benjamain to get the receiver to the ground and force a field goal.

The Panthers rely on Benjamin as much as any team relies on any non-quarterback rookie in the entire league. He's singlehandedly made their passing attack much more explosive, and is our favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
