"We're going to the playoffs," Gore said, per CSN Bay Area. "We're going to do it. We have great coaches. We have great guys. The last three years, we've been spoiled. That's where we want to go, to get to the postseason. Once everybody takes care of their jobs, we have a great shot."
There has been much consternation in the Bay Area about the use of Gore within the 49ers' offense, as the team's run percentage has dipped from 53 percent in 2013 to 44 percent this year.
Gore, however, doesn't believe merely handing the ball off more will magically improve the offense.
"Nah, it's a team," Gore said. "We have great players all around. Receivers, the backs, I just think as a group we have to do better, (be) more consistent. It's always one player here or one player there. In this league, that can't happen. You're not going to win games when everybody on offense isn't clicking together."
