'NFL Total Access' recap: Chip Kelly going with Michael Vick?

Did you miss Friday's edition of "NFL Total Access" on NFL Network? Catch up with this recap:

Chip going with Vick?

NFL Network analyst Solomon Wilcots thinks Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly wants Michael Vick to be his quarterback because the Eagles paid him the money in the offseason. Also, Vick offers more in terms of running different types of offensive schemes than rookie Matt Barkley or Nick Foles, added Wilcots. Willie McGinest said one reason Nick Foles is getting as many reps in organized team activities is so that the coaching staff can make a better evaluation. Also, McGinest says the Eagles could be showcasing Foles for potential "trade bait."

Jim Brown on the Cleveland Browns

NFL legend Jim Brown joined McGinest and host Andrew Siciliano to talk about the current state of the Cleveland Browns. Brown stated that the respect given to him by new Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and the team made him want to come back and work with the organization. Brown said this is the best way to have it -- to be a true member of the organization and be given the respect he deserves.

McGinest talked about how he went to the NFL icon for everything while he was with the Browns and asked him what happened when he left the organization. The Hall of Fame running back said then-Browns president Mike Holmgren called a meeting with him and said Brown was getting paid too much. Brown said he didn't need Holmgren to dance around the fact that he wanted him gone. He added that Holmgren didn't understand his relationship with Cleveland. Brown said it hurt not being at the Browns' Ring of Honor ceremony.

Luck the best QB under 25?

Wilcots thinks Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck is definitely the best QB under 25. Wilcots mentioned that Luck is incredibly athletic and could run the read-option if he needed to. Moreover, Luck has demonstrated great leadership both on and off the field. One thing Wilcots thinks Luck needs to improve on is protecting the football, as he threw far too many interceptions in 2012.

Spiller on the loose?

Buffalo Bills running back CJ Spiller checked in via Bills' team cam and said he's excited for an opportunity to carry the ball more and help make plays for his team. Spiller said he hopes he can be utilized in space, either catching the ball out of the backfield or in the slot. Spiller mentioned that all of the quarterbacks are competing at a high level and it's not clear if rookie QB EJ Manuel will win the job. Spiller also said that if he's not on NFL Network's "Top 100 Players of 2013" then he'll use it as "another wood-block in the fire" motivating him next season.

Jim Brown on the NFL's evolution

During his visit with NFL Network, Brown also talked about the evolution of the game. He said it's still the same great game, and the superstars are not any bigger or faster. Brown thinks the superstars could play in any era, but that the biggest thing regarding the evolution of the game, is the need to clean it up in order to protect the players. He said it's also necessary to add some advice for players on how to protect their money.

Brown said that money, agents, managers and lawyers dominate the game because the advice players are getting from their agents is biased. On the importance of the running back position, Brown stated simply, "greatness is greatness. If you can run the ball you can dominate -- especially if you can run the clock out at the end of the game."

Brown said Adrian Peterson proved undervaluing the running back position is wrong. Brown also referenced the Browns drafting Trent Richardson with the third overall pick in 2012 to show how great running backs are highly valuable and can impact the game.
