Milwaukee Brewers' Ryan Braun admits to PED use in statement

Suspended Major League Baseball star Ryan Braun admitted his use of performance-enhancing drugs during the 2011 season, The Associated Press reported Thursday.

Braun did not reveal where he received PEDs, what PEDs he took and what his relationship with Biogenesis founder Tony Bosch was. Braun previously had vehemently denied PED use, including in a press conference before 2012 spring training. Along the way, he frequently disparaged the character of the man who collected one of his urine samples.

Braun also did not address allegations in a civil suit filed by a college friend, who claims Braun has been using PEDs since his college days playing at the University of Miami.

Braun also sent an apology letter to Brewers fans. Braun's full statement can be seen on Milwaukee Magazine's website.
