Marshall calls Kyle Orton best QB he ever played with

Brandon Marshall's impromptu Twitter Q&A with fans on Thursday night included one not-so-subtle jab at Jay Cutler.

Asked to name the best quarterback he's ever played with, the Pro Bowl wideout offered up a surprising choice:

Beyond the noted and fantastic shot at Orton's iffy physique, Marshall's answer is suspect.

Cutler certainly has his issues on the field, but the Bears passer helped Marshall to a career year in 2012 with 118 catches for 1,508 yards and 11 touchdowns. Their connection sputtered last season, though, along with the rest of Chicago's offense.

As the Bears crumbled, Cutler and Marshall endured their share of ups and downs, but Marshall went out of his way in March to call the two "brothers," saying, per ESPN.com: "We love each other, but also get into it. And it's always been that way and it will never change."

With his Bears career in the rear-view mirror, Marshall's focus now shifts to his new team, the Jets, and his new quarterback, Geno Smith, the up-and-down young passer charged with one clear task: Be a little bit better than Kyle Orton.
