LSU's Danielle Hunter intends to enter 2015 NFL Draft

LSU defensive end Danielle Hunter will apply for early entry into the 2015 NFL Draft, a key loss for a Tigers defense that has already lost defensive back Jalen Collins, as well as linebacker Kwon Alexander, and one of the top coordinators in the college game, John Chavis.

Hunter posted his announcement on Twitter on Friday.

Hunter will now join them, according to theadvocate.com. Hunter (6-6, 240 pounds) made 13 tackles for loss to lead the Tigers in 2014. His sack production, however, will be something NFL scouts will question in evaluating his pro potential. Hunter came up with 1.5 sacks on the season, but was a very active member of the LSU defensive front with 73 tackles. His athleticism and length make him well-suited to rush the passer as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense.

Other LSU players considering early draft entry include offensive linemen Vadal Alexander and Jerald Hawkins and defensive back Jalen Mills.
