LB Roach re-signs with Bears

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears re-signed linebacker Nick Roach, an exclusive rights free agent, on Monday.

Roach, who started nine games and appeared in 14 overall, was credited with 25 solo tackles and 15 assists last season. He went undrafted out of Northwestern in 2006 and spent the first 11 weeks on the San Diego Chargers' practice squad as a rookie in 2007 before joining the Bears in late November. He appeared in the final three games that year and recorded five special teams tackles.
