Jameis Winston, Bryce Petty working with Jim Harbaugh

New Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is helping Baylor's Bryce Petty and Florida State's Jameis Winston -- the presumptive top pick in the draft -- get ready for the NFL Scouting Combine.

NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport reports that the two quarterbacks, who had been training with noted quarterback guru George Whitfield Jr. in San Diego, traveled to Ann Arbor and are spending three days (Sunday-Tuesday) with Harbaugh. Another aspect of the visit is that the players can get acclimated to the central time zone. Whitfield accompanied them and also took part in meetings with Harbaugh, who just finished a four-year run as coach of the San Francisco 49ers.

And this certainly isn't any kind of "secret" visit, as the Michigan football official Twitter account sent out of a photo of Harbaugh with Petty and Winston.

One goal for Harbaugh will be to develop a Michigan quarterback who is good enough to get drafted: The Wolverines haven't had a quarterback selected in the draft since 2008, when Chad Henne was a second-round pick. Denard Robinson played quarterback for the Wolverines, but he was drafted as a wide receiver in 2013.
