Irvin gives back

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Former Dallas Cowboy star Michael Irvin is about to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. He says he wants to help students at his Fort Lauderdale, Florida, high school achieve such success.

Irvin donated 100-thousand dollars to St. Thomas Aquinas High School yesterday. School officials say it's the largest donation they've ever received from an alumnus.

The school is raising money for a new athletic complex that will feature artificial turf on their football field. Irvin graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas in 1984. He went on to star at the University of Miami and in Dallas.
