Inside the Schedule

Detroit made it back to the playoffs as a Wild Card with an 11-5 record, but fell to the Dallas Cowboys in a closely-fought game. Despite losing Ndamukong Suh in free agency, Detroit will be battling to return to the postseason for consecutive years for the first time in 20 years. The road won't be easy as they have to travel to Seattle, New Orleans and Kansas City -- three notoriously difficult stadiums for road teams.

    Key Games

Week 4, at Seahawks: Seattle boasts arguably the best home-field advantage in the NFL. Detroit beat Seattle when these teams played in 2012, but a lot has changed since then.

Week 7, vs. Vikings: The Vikings played the Lions tough in both contests last season. The Lions will need to take care of business in their division to get back to the playoffs.

Week 13, vs. Packers: Detroit bested the Packers at home last year, and if they want to get back to the playoffs they'd do themselves a huge favor by winning this one again.
