"He's progressing. He's not 100 percent yet," said Marrone, per the team's official website. "So we'll see how it goes the next couple of days. We haven't made a decision either way."
Jackson officially was listed as questionable for Sunday's game, along with rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who suffered a groin injury during Wednesday's practice. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported earlier this week that Watkins' injury was believed to be minor, but the wideout missed practice on Thursday and Friday.
"I don't know. That's the coach's decision whether I should play," Watkins said Friday, per WGR-AM's Joe Buscaglia. "It's a long season."
Some other injuries we are tracking on Friday:
- The Saints announced that running back Mark Ingram (shoulder), center Jonathan Goodwin (knee/ankle), offensive tackle Zach Strief (chest) and receiver Robert Meachem (ankle) are questionable for Sunday, while running back Pierre Thomas (rib/shoudler), fellow rusher Khiry Robinson (arm) and linebacker David Hawthorne (hand) are out.
- Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, -- their Week 10 opponent -- declared running back Doug Martin and cornerback Alterraun Verner doubtful for Sunday's action. Receiver Vincent Jackson, linebacker Lavonte David, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, defensive end Michael Johnson and RB Charles Sims were listed as questionable for the Bucs.
