The 49ers running back was seen in uniform during Wednesday's practice after being cleared for football activities by team doctors, per multiple reports.
Hyde is returning from the concussion he suffered in San Francisco's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 26.
The third-year back wore a blue no-contact jersey in Wednesday's session, but his return is a promising development for the team's Week 1 showdown with the Los Angeles Rams.
For a team lacking skill-player difference-makers at every level, entering the campaign with Hyde in one piece is critical to staying afloat -- if that's what they plan to do -- in the NFC West.
Other injury news we're tracking Wednesday:
- Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder), linebacker Sio Moore (hamstring) and defensive tackle Henry Anderson (knee) were among six players limited in practice. Indianapolis' secondary isn't completely healthy going into its opener against the Lions: cornerbacks Vontae Davis and Darius Butler both missed practice with ankle injuries.
- Seahawks rookie guard Germain Ifedi left practice with an ankle injury and was added to the injury report as a limited participant. Tight end Jimmy Graham (knee) was listed as a full participant. In other offensive news, Pete Carroll told reporters the only limitations for running back Thomas Rawls (ankle) are the number of plays.
