Houston Texans donate $100,000 to Oklahoma relief efforts

HOUSTON -- The Houston Texans have donated $100,000 to help in relief efforts in the wake of this week's devastating and deadly tornado in Oklahoma.

Team owner Bob McNair and his wife Janice made the donation on behalf of their foundation and the team to the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma Disaster Relief in Oklahoma City.

The charity provides hot meals, water purification, mobile showers and laundry, debris removal, child care and medical assistance.

McNair says: "It's just an unbelievable situation and we just wanted to say: 'We're sorry they've had this disaster and hopefully this will help a little bit.'"
