NEVER SAY NEVER MOMENT NOMINEES

Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins

Dolphins overcome 10-point halftime deficit: Entering Sunday, New England had prevailed in 16 of its last 17 games where it held a double-digit edge at intermission. Down 20-10 at the half, the Miami Dolphins emerged from intermission able to push aside the Patriots and their recent history with a second-half offensive onslaught en route to a 33-20 victory. New Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno scored the fourth-quarter touchdown that sealed the victory. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill added two touchdown passes as the Dolphins dealt the Patriots their first season-opening loss since 2003.

Nick Foles, Philadelphia Eagles

Eagles rally after falling behind 17-0: The Philadelphia Eagles, whose first two possessions ended in lost fumbles and later another ended in an interception, trailed the Jacksonville Jaguars 17-0 at halftime. The Eagles rebounded after the half to score 34 unanswered points in a 34-17 win. Quarterback Nick Foles threw two touchdown passes in the Eagles comeback rally.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

Steelers hold off furious Browns comeback: The Pittsburgh Steelers stormed out to a 27-3 halftime lead, and appeared to have the game well in hand. However, the second half was another story as the Cleveland Browns scored 24 unanswered points. The Steelers managed to shift momentum late in the fourth quarter and get into position for Shaun Suisham's game-winning 41-yard field goal in a 30-27 win. The win helped quarterback Ben Roethlisberger improve his career record to 18-1 against the Browns, the best mark of any quarterback against one team since at least 1970 (minimum 15 starts).
