Game facts: Seahawks at Patriots

Best of the best:  Since 2013, the Patriots have been the best team in the AFC (43-13 record) while the Seahawks have been the best team in the NFC (40-15-1 record). 

Next Gen Stat:  In four games without Kam Chancellor this year (Weeks 6-9), the Seattle secondary has allowed a 110.8 passer rating on deep passes (passes of 20+ air yards). In four games with Chancellor (Weeks 1-4), Seattle allowed a 28.8 passer rating on deep passes.

Sherman vs. Brady:  Tom Brady has an 11.7 career passer rating when targeting Richard Sherman (4-for-10, 38 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT). 

Historically bad run game:  The 2016 Seahawks are on pace to have the worst rushing offense in franchise history (since 1976). Seattle averages just 3.2 yards per carry this season. 

Wilson in the pocket:  This year, Russell Wilson has averaged 29.3 pass attempts per game from the pocket (averaged 25.0 in 2015). On such passes, Wilson has a 93.8 rating this season (had a 137.1 rating from the pocket in 2015). 

X factor:  DE Cliff Avril leads the Seahawks with 9.0 sacks and 16 QB hits. He has at least 1.0 sack in five straight games.
