Game facts: Panthers at Rams

Struggling offense:  The Rams have fewer than 300 pass yards in six of seven games this year; they also have fewer than 80 rush yards in five of seven games this year.

Potential mismatch:  The Rams offense averages 3.2 yards per carry this season (31st in NFL); the Panthers defense allows an average of 3.3 yards per carry (best in NFL).

No deep catches:  WR Tavon Austin averages 8.3 yards per reception on 64 targets. That's the fewest yards per reception among WRs with 40+ targets this season.

Mind-blowing stat:  DL Aaron Donald has 17 QB hits this season (one more than J.J. Watt had through seven games in 2015).

Key matchup:  The Panthers offense averages 123.9 rush yards per game (5th in NFL) and 4.3 rush yards per attempt (12th); the Rams defense allows 104.3 rush yards per game (15th) and 3.9 yards per rush (T-8th).
