With Buffalo buried below an outrageous four feet of snow, Sunday's Bills game with the Jets remains at the mercy of Mother Nature.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that both teams must know by Friday if kickoff will proceed as planned at 1 p.m. ET at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
That leaves time, but after Wednesday's practice was canceled due to a driving ban, Bills running back Fred Jackson told NFL Media's Lindsay Rhodes that it's "not looking good" to practice Thursday, either.
"I'll tell you, we'll be at a huge disadvantage," said Jackson of potentially facing the Jets without practice time. "But it's what we have to do. As a professional, you got to try and prepare as best you can."
With Doug Marrone and his staff bunkered in at the team facility, coaches spent Wednesday taping segments of the game plan and distributing the information to players digitally.
"It's just as simple as looking at an iPad," Jackson said on Around the NFL. "They put all the game plans -- what we want to do in situations -- it's all on there. So we're looking at it, studying it that way. ... That's about the only way we can prepare."
As we mentioned on *NFL NOW* and the latest podcast, time remains for the Bills to prepare the stadium in time for Sunday, move the tilt to a neutral site, or even delay the contest until Monday --Â or beyond.
The bigger issue was always how the wild weather would chip away at the team's preparation, a factor Jackson confirms as a genuine concern.
