Even referees get thanks from players sometimes in the NFL

If you don't think NFL players notice when referees look out for their safety, think again.

During Arizona's 25-21 victory over Detroit, Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was caught on video thanking -- or at least fist-bumping -- referee Peter Morelli after the official called a roughing-the-passer penalty against Lions defensive lineman Israel Idonije late in the third quarter Sunday in Glendale, Ariz.
