Coach Mike McCarthy announced this week that James Starks took over the No. 1 running back duties, but planned to use a "1-2 punch" with Starks and Lacy.
Lacy hasn't looked right all season. He's appeared slow, lacked lateral quickness and can't seem to hit holes. The third-year pro insisted this week that injuries (ankle, groin) and added weight weren't the cause for his poor play.
The groin injury will keep him out Sunday.
