"I almost tripped over the (field goal) net on the way up (into the stands), and I got caught in it on the way down," said Penn, per CSN Bay Area. "I grew up a Raider fan, so it was always a dream to jump into that Black Hole. Everybody was coming up to congratulate me, and I was telling people to get out of the way. I was headed for the hole."
The Raiders had been working on the play for weeks after offensive coordinator Greg Olson successfully employed Penn as a pass-catcher in Tampa, where the tackle caught a touchdown against -- of all teams -- the Niners back in 2010.
"We kid him about it all the time in the offensive line room because we throw it to him in practice every once in a while," said interim head coach Tony Sparano, noting that "the guy hasn't dropped one yet."
