Dick LeBeau, Bruce Arians reportedly discuss union

Pittsburgh's loss could be another invaluable gain for Bruce Arians' coaching staff in Arizona.

According to a report from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, former Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau has spoken with Arians about joining the Cardinals.

Arizona was one of the few destinations mentioned by NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport on Sunday.

LeBeau would be an obvious candidate to replace current defensive coordinator Todd Bowles if he ends up landing another job. Bowles is currently in the mix with the Jets, 49ers, Falcons, Raiders and Bears.

Adding the Godfather of modern NFL defenses to a staff that already includes Tom Moore, one of Peyton Manning's original mentors and offensive coordinator, would be an incredible score and would help vacate a significant void left by Bowles.

It would also continue Arians' crusade to shatter any ageism left among NFL executives in hiring roles.
