DeMarcus Ware (back) officially out vs. Browns

The league's most dominant defense will be missing a key cog come Sunday.

Broncos pass rusher DeMarcus Ware has been ruled out with a back injury for this weekend's matchup with the Browns, the team announced Friday.

Earlier this week, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Ware's injury could force him to miss about two weeks. However, being that the Broncos have a bye week following their tilt with Cleveland, he will likely only miss one game.

In five games this year, Ware has already compiled 4.5 sacks and has been a major reason the Broncos boast the top defense in the NFL. Von Miller and the healthy Denver front seven will have to step up against a red-hot Josh McCown if they want to keep the struggling Broncos offense in the game.
