Commanders WRs Terry McLaurin (quad), Deebo Samuel (heel) to play vs. Chiefs

Marcus Mariota will have a full arsenal at receiver as he looks stop Washington's skid in relief of Jayden Daniels.

Commanders wide receivers Terry McLaurin (quad) and Deebo Samuel (heel) are set to play in Monday night's road matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach Dan Quinn announced Saturday.

"They both run all of the routes in the system but just being in there and how they can make plays, it's definitely a big deal," Quinn said of McLaurin and Samuel's returns. "That also affects other parts of the offense and running game and other things to go with it. So, matchups, yeah, I'm excited to get these guys back into the mix and they are too because missing and not being in it, it's hard. And so, they're excited."

The WR duo hasn't played together since Week 3, the first game in which Mariota started in place of the Commanders' star quarterback as he dealt with a knee injury earlier this season. Daniels was ruled out for Week 8 due to a hamstring injury he suffered in last Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, while neither McLaurin nor Samuel will carry a designation into their upcoming game.

McLaurin makes his return after a four-game absence due to a quad injury he suffered in Week 3. The two-time Pro Bowler has 10 receptions for 149 yards and no touchdowns in his limited playing time so far this season. The Commanders went 1-3 without McLaurin.

Samuel was downgraded to out just ahead of last week's loss in Dallas, allowing his bruised heel to heal for Week 8's showdown against the Chiefs. Samuel leads the Commanders in receptions (34) and receiving yards (315) while producing three touchdowns.

Mariota shined with McLaurin and Samuel at his disposal one month ago, completing 15 of 21 passes for 207 yards while finding the end zone twice in a 41-24 victory over the Raiders.

While his next start in Kansas City will be a tougher matchup, Mariota will do it with McLaurin and Samuel in tow as he aims to prevent a three-game losing streak.

The Commanders (3-4) are set to kick off against the Chiefs (4-3) on Monday night at 8:15 p.m. ET.
