Clemson's Tajh Boyd highlights ACC Media Days attendees

Half of the ACC's 14 teams will have new quarterbacks this season, but of the league's seven incumbent starters, four are high-caliber players. Those four - Clemson's Tajh Boyd, Miami's Stephen Morris, North Carolina's Bryn Renner and Virginia Tech's Logan Thomas - will be among the 28 players who will be attending ACC Media Days on July 21 and 22.

Boyd is the league's spotlight player; he will go into the season as at least a top-five preseason Heisman pick after throwing for 3,897 yards and 36 TDs last season. Boyd completed 67.2 percent of his 427 attempts and completed 62 passes that covered at least 20 yards. He should team with Sammy Watkins for one of the nation's top passing duos. Watkins, who is coming off a mediocre season, won't be attending ACC Media Days.

Thomas will be in the spotlight, but for a different reason. A highly touted prospect before last season, Thomas struggled and has fallen down most draft boards. The hope is new Virginia Tech offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler - who oversaw a terrible Auburn offense last season - can help get Thomas back on track as a senior.

The complete list of players in attendance: QB Chase Rettig and LB Steele Divitto for Boston College; Boyd and LB Spencer Shuey for Clemson; QB Anthony Boone and CB Ross Cockrell for Duke; WR Rashad Greene and CB Lamarcus Joyner for Florida State; G Will Jackson and DE Jeremiah Attaochu for Georgia Tech; QB C.J. Brown and CB Dexter McDougle for Maryland; Morris and DE Shayon Green for Miami; Renner and DE Kareem Martin for North Carolina; WR Rashard Smith and CB Dontae Johnson for North Carolina State; WR Devin Street and DT Aaron Donald for Pitt; C Macky MacPherson and DT Jay Bromley for Syracuse; OT Morgan Moses and DE Jake Snyder for Virginia; Thomas and LB Jack Tyler for Virginia Tech, and WR Michael Campanaro and LB Justin Jackson for Wake Forest.
