The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms with free agent kicker Dave Rayner, according to the team's website.
Rayner (6-2, 210) has appeared in 30 games over his two-year NFL career with Indianapolis and Green Bay. After serving as a kickoff specialist with the Colts in 2005, he handled all of the placekicking duties for the Packers last season converting 26-of-35 field goal attempts and 31-of-32 extra points. Rayner hit eight of 11 field goals from the 40-49-yard range in 2006 and tied a Packers record with a long of 54 yards at Philadelphia.
Rayner originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2005. A four-year letterwinner at Michigan State, Rayner converted 62-of-90 career field goal attempts and finished his collegiate career as the school's all-time leader in points (334), field goals made (62) and extra points (148).
