Chiefs list West, Kelce as questionable vs. Bills

A win over the Bills on Sunday would do wonders for Kansas City's wild-card hopes in the AFC. The Chiefs might have to pull it off, though, without the help of two key contributors.

The Chiefs listed both running back Charcandrick West and tight end Travis Kelce as questionable. West missed practice all week with the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 11, while Kelce hurt his ankle during Friday's session.

Pete Sweeney of the team's official website noted that coach Andy Reid thinks Kelce will "be fine," while West "is coming along."

Losing Kelce would only diminish a passing game that will also be without receiver and return man De'Anthony Thomas (concussion). Kelce's been hot-and-cold this season, rushing out of the gate for 244 yards and two touchdowns over the campaign's first three weeks before failing to top 100 yards in a game since.

West has filled in capably for the injured Jamaal Charles, but if he can't go, look for third-year back Spencer Ware to lead the way after rushing for 96 yards at 8.73 yards per attempt in last Sunday's win over the Chargers.

Nothing has helped Kansas City on offense as much as their backfield depth. They'll need all the healthy bodies they can get against a Bills defense that hit Tom Brady over and over last Monday night.
