The Jacksonville Jaguars are keeping their quarterback depth chart intact.
Chad Henne signed a two-year deal with the Jaguars on Thursday, the team announced. NFL Media's Rand Getlin reported the contract is for $8 million and includes playing time-related incentives.
That's pretty good money for a passer who didn't take a snap last season behind Blake Bortles. The Jags struggled mightily with Henne at the helm early in 2014, but he's a solid veteran backup who reportedly has a good relationship with Bortles, the team's most-important player.
Yes, it's good to be a professional quarterback. Henne just scored a 100 percent raise off the two-year, $4 million deal he signed prior to the 2014 season. This post should really be about the greatness of Henne's agent, but we're in too deep to turn back now.
